Hundreds workers gathered in front of Diet
On April.28, Koizumi government will vote the bill of conspiracy charge
in Committee on Judicial Affairs of House of Representatives. And it
proposed the bill of revision of the Basic Education Law to House of
Representative.
At this urgent situation, hundreds workers and students gathered in
front of the Diet, and they impeached Koizumi government.
From one week, against the bill of conspiracy charge, workers and students
waged protesting actions and hunger strike. Campaign against this bill
was broadened rapidly. So On Apr.28, struggle in front of Diet was rising.
For these struggles, Committee on Judicial Affairs of House of Representatives
couldn’t vote this bill in this day.
Participants of this struggle felt their victory strongly and decided
again conspiracy charge to stop the bill of conspiracy charge and revision
of Basic Educational Low.

No Nuke rally in Aoyama prefecture
On Apr.9, against testing activate of Nuclear Fuel Cycle
System, which had been build in Rokkasyo village, Aoyama prefecture,

4000 workers gathered in National Rally in Hibiya
On Mar.31, “Stop the revision of Basic Education Law and Japanese Constitution!
3.31 National rally” was held. 4000 workers gathered in this rally.
In this day, 33 teachers, who had refused singing “Kimigayo (Empire
Song)” under the “Hinomaru (Rising Sun Frag)” at graduation ceremony,
were punished by educational board of Tokyo. Gathering workers at this
National Rally impeached this punishment. Their anger let this rally
rise struggle mode.
After the rally, participants waged demonstration to Japanese Parliament
House. They impeached Democratic Liberal Party and members of Parliament,
who are growing corrupt. And they encouraged members of Parliament,
who struggle against revision of Japanese Constitution.

“Stop starting work of extending of interim runway of Narita Airport
to north!"
3.26 national rally in Sanrizuka, Narita-city, was held.
On mar.26, In Sanrizuka, Narita-city, Chiba prefecture, a national rally
against starting work of extending of interim runway of Narita Airport
was held. 1200 workers and students took part in this rally.
In this summer, Koizumi government and Narita International Airport
Corporation are going to start work to reconstruct a tunnel for extending
the interim runway of Narita Airport to north. The Narita Airport will
be a military airport by this work and cause noise pollution against
residents around the airport.
At the rally, speakers said their determination to stop this construction.
And 29 students, who arrested by police for hanging a anti-war signboard
in university, were liberated the day before this rally. They appealed
too. They said not to allow repression by police and will stand up to
struggle in this summer.

On Mar.5, in Okinawa, 35000 workers gathered in the Okinawa local residents
rally. And on Mar.12, in Iwakuni, at the local referendum, inquiring
transfer of US carrier-based aircrafts to Iwakuni base, protests were
victory. In this context, for 3 anniversaries of opening Iraq war, this
national rally was held.
At the rally, a message by Yuji Kinjyo (president of “Save Live League”)
and a message by International Action Center have read out. A report
on local referendum in Iwakuni has said by phone.

Syoichi has spoken.

in front of it, they impeach Bush administration thoroughly.

35000 people gathered in the Okinawa residents’ rally
On Mar.5, protesting the restructuring of US base in Okinawa,
the Okinawa residents’ rally was held. 35000 people took part in this
rally in Ginowan, Okinawa.
Before the rally, Okinawan musicians sang anti-war songs one after another.
Youths struggling in Henoko against building of new US base also took
the platform. They asked for preventing construction of new US base.
In this elevated militant wave, the rally was opened.
At the rally, the representation of sponsors said a forceful appeal,
which is against restructuring of US base and strengthen of US base
in Okinawa. Many anti-base activists and assembly members appealed.
Especially appeales of a resident and a fishing man, who are fighting
against building a new US base in Henoko, and a appeal of the representation
of Okinawan women are uplifting participants in the rally. Gathering
35000 people are decided to without US base from Okinawa.
After the rally, Municipal workers’ Union of Ginowan city staged demonstration
to gate of Futenma base. Many participants and unions and residents

Protesting in front of the gate of Kitafuji army post of SDF
On Feb.26, against the training of SDF (Self Defense Force of Japan)
for dispatch of it to Iraq in Kitahuji military exercise area, workers
and citizen group handed protest notes to the operations center of Kitafuji
army post. SDF has built a training camp in Kitafuji military exercise
area. This training camp is same as the camp of SDF in Samawa, Iraq.
Troops of SDF are going to exercise against urban guerilla in this camp
before dispatch to Iraq. This training is homicide training.
Kitafuji Mathers’ Club against Military Base, Anti-war Joint Action
Committee, National Conference of Women’s Democratic Club and ZENGAKUREN
(All Japan Federation of Student Autonomous Bodies) etc. handed protest
notes for the operations center of Kitafuji army post to Self-Defense

A protest rally was held in Suginami-ward, Tokyo.
On Feb.18, against the new school text for war, local residents and
workers held a rally.
At the rally, Mis. Rumiko Nishino lectured. She said that descriptions
about the women, who forced to provide sex for Japanese soldiers at
military brothels during World War II, were forced to be deleted, and
in this new school text for war all descriptions about them were made
an erasure perfectly. Shi impeached Koizumi government, which is making
this attack.
And she brought up a trial, which disputed the falsification of special
TV show about women forced sex for Japanese soldiers. In this trial,
it is clear that producers were required to falsification of this special
show before 4 hours of on air of it, and executive officers of Japan
Broadcasting Corporation said “Might as well be hanged for a seep as
a lamp”.
At the rally, teachers against “Hinomaru(Rising Sun Flag) and Kimigayo(Empire
Song)” appealed. They displayed resolve on struggle against education
for fatherland and empire.

On Feb.12, agaisnt sending Eastern Army of SDF to Iraq, 750 workers
and students waged demonstration to Asaka military station. Before the

Iraq.
In front of the gate of Asaka military station, protester and right

On Dec.23, as memorial to 8th anniversary of victory of
local referendum against new US base in Nago city, residents in Nago
city waged demonstration by ships in Oura Bay.
Before 8 years, residents in Nago city held a local referendum and they
cleared up their intention against building new US base on the sea.
Now, US and Japanese governments want to build a new US base on the
coast of Camp Schwab (Oura bay) instead of on the sea. This new base
will be an enormous base with runway, military port and powder magazine.
Asking for not to build a new US base, 56 ships waged demonstration
in Oura bay.
After demonstration, they held a rally. they were determined to struggle
next year.

constitution is a coup d’etat!"
Seminar for stopping the revision of Japanese Constitution
On Dec. 8, a seminar for stopping the revision of Japanese Constitution
was held. Mr. Morikawa (a lawyer, vice-president of Tokyo Second Bar
Association) lectured about the bill on national votes for revision
of Constitution and the bill on New Constitution by Democratic Liberal
Party.
Mr. Morikawa said, “the bill on national votes is a bill for a coup
d’etat, because, breaking down opposition movement and press, it would
establish a new constitution”
And he said the bill on New Constitution by Democratic Liberal Party
will revival a Japanese army revising second paragraph of Article 9
of the Constitution for progressive war, and will violate human rights
on the pretext of national interests, and will revise the Constitution
for any number of revisions of it.
Participants were surprised at attribute and content of coup d’etat
of the bill of New Constitution. And they were determined to stop absolutely
the revision of Japanese Constitution.

facility of SDF base in Samawa, Iraq!”
Rally and demonstration in Kitafuj, Yamanashi prefecture.
On Nov.27, asking for stopping the exercise in a simulated facility
of SDF (Self Defense Force) base in Samawa, Iraq, rally and demonstration
were held sponsored by Kitafuji Mothers’ Club. 90 workers and residents
gathered in this action. Japanese government and Defense Agency have
built the simulated facility, and Eastern Army of SDF, which would dispatch
on January next year, hold exercise in it.
It is the exercise for smashing Iraqi national liberation struggle and
for aggressive domination in Iraq by U.S. and Japan.
Workers and residents waged demonstration to the simulated facility,
asked for stopping this exercise in front of this gate of base of SDF
in Kitafuji. They said “Withdraw SDF from Iraq! Get rid of exercise
area for US army and SDF from Kitafuji!"

3200 workers and residents close in around Camp Zama
On Nov.13, against removing New US First Army Corps Headquarters from
America to Camp Zama in Japan, 3200 workers and residents waged close
in around Camp Zama in Kanagawa prefecture.
Before this struggle, a rally was held. Anti-base groups appealed continuously
not to allow removing Headquarters. A worker form Okinawa said to stop
this removing in solidarity with the Henoko struggle in Okinawa.
Closing in around Camp Zama began at 3 p.m. And this action repeats
3 times. Camp Zama was enclosed by 3200 workers and residents. Their
protesting chant “Go out U.S. base from Zama!” resounded through Camp
Zama.

Japanese, Korean and U.S workers waged demonstration in Tokyo
On Nov.6, 4600 workers gathered in Hibiya Outdoor Large Music Hall,
and staged “National Workers Rally”.
As representative of Labor union, 22 workers from Korea and 14 workers
from U.S. took part in this rally. Under the slogan “Don’t allow privatization
and destruction of labor unions! Stop war! ”, they held the rally and
demonstration with Japanese workers.
At the rally, Mr. Go Jong Hwan (president of Seoul Area Local) reported
about their struggle in Korea, and appealed “Ambitious imperialism wars
and exploitation against workers and masses push them off in the depth
of pain. To crush attack by capitalist all over the world, workers must
solidarize as proletariat class in each country. And let’s strengthen
international solidarity of workers!”.
Mr. Jack Heyman (International Longshore & Warehouse Union Local
10) appealed “If workers all over the world solidarize at their action
for defending their union, we shall overcome! We say, attack to one
is attack to all! ”. And many Korean and U.S. workers made remarks one
after another.
A Japanese worker against privatization of postal services field and
a punished teacher against “Hinomaru (raising sun flag) and Kimigayo
(emperor song)” said they were prepared for dismissal for their struggle
of justice. Participants in the hall received their determination with
applause.
Mr. Shin Tomita, who struggle against building new U.S. base in Henoko,Okinawa
everyday, appealed as combat propaganda “we will prevent new U.S. base
at the risk of our life. "
After the rally, askinf for blocking dismissal and down with Koizumi
& Bush, workers of Japan, Korea and U.S. waged demonstration to
Ginza, downtown of Tokyo metropolitan, together.
And at evening, International Solidarity Party was held. Japanese, Korea
and US workers determined to strengthen of solidarity of them in the
furture.

Sit-in for 500day’s rally was opened.
On Aug.31, the rally against building of US new base was opened in
the courtyard of Nago city hall, because this day is 500 day’s from
starting of sit-in against the new base. This sit-in started at Apr.16
last year.
“At 500 day’s, we decided to struggle more strong”, Mr. Hiroshi Ashitomi,
the representative of Against Helicopter-base committee, said. Mr. Tokushin
Yamauchi appealed, “residents in Nago have stopped building of New US
base for 500 day’s. It is great pyramid in history of people’s struggle.
We have a right to give authority a shock. It is a magnificent struggle
for maintaining right of life.”
Mr.Yuji Kinjyo declared his determination, “US troops training for war
anywhere. Our valuable sea would be landfill. They train at Prefectural
Highway. Target practice in training facility for guerrilla in town
was waged in Igei, Kin Town. Without now, we can’t have a time for stopping
the war. Fight more to call off the plan of new US base”.
400 Participants gathered in this rally. Upholding a big figure of dugong,
they waged demonstration to downtown in Nago city bravely.

Opened the anniversary of 60th after the end of Second World War 8.15
international solidarity rally
On Aug.15, against entering and praying by Prime minister Koizumi and
governor of Tokyo, many workers stand up to protest. In Yasukuni Shrine,
Right Wings and Nationalists opened Ceremony. But opponents cried “Stop
the entering and praying!” there. Right wings committed outrage opponents.
Policemen opponents got rid of opponents restrained them.
At Chirorigafuchi, near the Yasukuni Shrine, policemen committed outrage
protests, and arrested 2 members unjustly.
At noon, the anniversary of 60th after the end of Second World War 8.15
international solidarity rally was opened. Under the slogan “Article
Constitution and Yasukuni shirine”, 520 people gathered in this rally.
Mr, Hirokazu Ouchi delivered lecture for “labor union and peace”. Mr.
Steve Zeltzer (Campaign Against Taft-Hartley, Repression and Privatizati)
from US, and from KCTU (Korean Confederation of Trade Unions) South
Korea, Go Jong Hwan (president of Seoul Area Local) and Mun Mun Ju (Director
of Organization of Seoul Area Local) appealed. They asked for counterblow
against war and dismissal by international solidarity.
At the end of the rally, participants adopted the appeal in Aug. 15,2005.
They made their pledge not to allow formation of Koizumi Fascist nationalism
cabinet through the general election, and to struggle for stopping the
revision of the Japanese Constitution.

History Textbook by Fusosha publishing company. This Textbook admired

this Textbook.
We impeach this choice.
In front of the Suginami ward office, where the board of education of
Suginami-ward opened, right wing groups gathered and force to choose
this Text.
Opponents gathered too there, and impeach action of right wing. They
appealed not to choose it.
Wright wings lobby this choice through the board of education, and distributed
flyers, which defamed opponents of this board members. So it is invalidity
to choose the Textbook.

10,000 people gathered in Okinawa
residents rally
New stage of Okinawa struggle starts!
On Jul. 19, Okinawa residents rally was held in Igei Park, Kin Town,
Okinawa. 10000 People gathered in this rally against training of urban-type
guerrilla
This rally opened only 4 days from decision, but 10000 residents and
workers gathered in it. It declares the measure of Okinawa residents’
anger against training of urban-type guerrilla and building new US base
in Henoko.
Democratic Liberal Party and other administration parties took part
in this rally for not lose support of residents, but they are fear the
success of this rally in their heart. Being fear of residents, Keiichi
Inamine, the Okinawa prefecture governor, took part in this rally and
addressed. But his speech is not alive. He had a poor complexion. Participants
jeered him hard “you not feel like doing anything!”
Residents in Igei, who are siting- in every day, appealed “from last
autumn, cold winter, to hot summer, we sit-in day by day. We don’t allow
this training. We will struggle at the risk of our life. ” They said
one after another. Participants applauded sympatherically.
This 10000 residents rally proved starting of new rising of Okinawa
struggle and made public the brink of collapse of Inamine prefecture
administration.

7.18 Tokyo Anti-war Anti-nuclear rally
On Jul. 18, 8.6 Hiroshima- 8.9 Nagasaki National Executive Committee
held Tokyo Anti-war Anti-nuclear rally. 130 people gathered in this
rally. They discussed on Okinawa Hiroshima and Nagasaki at this rally.
At the rally, at first Yosshii and Dugong played their song. Next, panel
discussion. Tomekichi Sakai (a resident in Rokkasyo village), Matashithi
Oishi (a former Crew member of Dai go Fukryuu Maru) and Eisuke Mathui
(a radiation medical man) are panelists. A Coordinator, Hitomi Kamanaka
is a film director of “Hibakusha (survivor of an atom-bombing)”. They
reported their struggle and discussed on internal exposure, nuclear
electric power generation and atomic armament of Japan etc.
After intermission, Kazuko Abe, who has come from Henoko, Okinawa, reported
the struggle in Henoko. Shi said “Our struggle against new base is carrying
on now. Where will Japan go? We must block the road to war! Let’s gather
in Henoko! ”
A member of Suginami Parents Association against School Text for War
appealed. She reported situation of their struggle in Suginami ward
and stressed to stand up for stopping adoption of this School Text on
Aug.4, for example signature, protest action in front of Suginami ward
office.

School Text Book!”
410 people gathered in the 6.12 Suginami Rally for 60th anniversary
of Battle of Okinawa
On June.12, “6.12 Suginami Rally for 60th anniversary of Battle of
Okinawa” was held in Suginami Industrial Commercial Hall.
410 people gathered in this rally.
At the rally, Mr. Seishin Uehara addressed as representation of sponsors
of this rally.
Mr. Shinkin Takashima criticize the School Text Book of “the committee
for making the New Historical School Text Book”. Especially he impeached
the description about the mass suicide of local residents in Battle
of Okinawa. And Mis. Chiyo Kamieda, a survivor of the Battle of Okinawa,
witnessed to fact of this Battle.
A video on the struggle in Henoko was played. Mr. Natume Taira reported
this struggle by phone from Henoko.
We must block the adoption about this new school text. And victory in
Henoko.
Participants determined to stand up this struggle.

Against the exercise in simulate
facility as like Samawa
Protest action in Kitafuji practice place
On May.29, Protest action was staged against a military exercise in
Kitafuji from next day.
Now in Kitafuji, Japanese Self Defense force built a simulate facility
as like the facility in Samawa, Iraq. And troops conduct a drill for
fighting with urban guerilla. This is training for massacres of Iraqi.
Don’t allow this exercise.
Local residents, workers and students asked SDF for stopping this exercise
and withdrawal of troops of SDF from Iraq. And they calling for handover
of the land being used as exercise place to farmers in Kitafuji.

Constitution!"
2400 workers gathered in 5.27 National Rally
On May.27, sponsored by 20 labor unions of transport workersof land,
sea,air,and long-shore, “Don’t allow the exercise of the system on emergency
legislation! Against revision of Article 9 of Constitution! 5.27 National
Rally ” was staged.
2400 workers gathered in this rally. Representatives of various labor
unions spoke one after another. Especially, they pledged the struggle
against the revision of Japanese Constitution.
Participants waged demonstration in Ginza and they appealed passengers
to stand up against the war.

3800 people said “No”
Stop the revision of Basic Education Law! 5.7 National Rally
On May.5, “Stop the revision of Basic Education Law! 5.7 National Rally”
was held. 3800 people gathered in this rally.
At the rally, many speakers said on the revision of Constitution and
Text Book problem. They urged that we must struggle against the revision
of Basic Education Law and Text Book for war and revision of Constitution.
And a okinawan teacher appealed about the struggle in Henoko.
After the rally, participants staged demonstration to Shibuya. Powerful
chant resounded in Shibuya

“Don’t allow the revision of
Japanese Constitution!”
5.2 Constitution rally was held
On May.2, “5.2 Constitution Rally” was held in Nakano Zero small Hall
in Tokyo. At the rally, Mr. Shoichi Koseki delivered lecture. He said
revision of Constitution aimed to repeal Article 9 of it and the bill
about national vote for revision of constitution is a dangerous bill
for suppression of free speech.
In addition, a former worker of NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corp.) spoke
their situation of work place. They stressed the important of struggle
against suppression of free speech and “Hinomaru (raising sun flag),
Kimigayo (emperor song)”.

“Don’t allow to extend the interim
runway to the north! Victory by the solidarity between workers and farmers!”
3.27 Sanrizuka National rally against the Narita Airport was held.
On March 27, Sanrizuka-Shibayama United League Against
Narita Airport was held a national rally against extending of the interim
runway to the north in Sanriduka. 1200 workers and students gathered
in this rally.
At the rally, gathering people made sure to put an end to Narita Airport
(a military airport). They confirmed the important of solidarity between
workers and students. And they decided to solidarize the struggle in
Okinawa.
. After the rally, gathering people waged demonstration around the Narita
Airport. They appealed not to send aggressive attack planes from Narita
Airport to Iraq and North Korea.

“Refuse mobilization of workers
into war! Stop the revision of Japanese Constitution!”
6000 people gathered in International Joint Action Rally on March 20
On March 20, impeaching 2 anniversary of the opening of
the war on Iraq, executive committee (20 labor unions of transport workers
of land, sea, air, and long-shore, etc) staged a rally in Hibiya Outdoor
Large Music Hall. 600 workers gathered in this rally and they determined
to struggle against mobilization of workers into war and the revision
of Japanese Constitution. An Iraqi speaker reported cases, massacres,
suffering of Depleted Uranium etc., by US armies under occupation of
US.
After the rally, participants waged demonstration to downtown. They
asked for withdrawing troops of US and Self Defense Forces of Japan
in Ginza.
